Terra Alpha

Terra Alpha is a rather gloomy Earth colony ruled by Helen A. where people were forced to be happy. Around the planet there are over 1,000 factories where the inhabitants work. The conditions are terrible, and demonstrations were frequent.

As the demonstrations were deemed unhappy, they were often quashed using force. Any people found to be unhappy were often executed. When the seventh Doctor visited the colony with Ace, he managed to show Helen A. the error of making people be happy, when unhappiness and happiness were so close together.
