Eternals

The Eternals were a group of immortal entitys who lived outside normal time. Eternals possessed great mental powers, although their minds were devoid of emotions.

The fifth Doctor and his companions were requested by the White Guardian to prevent a race. When the TARDIS materialised, the Doctor, Tegan and Turloguh found themselves on an Edwardian racing yacht. The Eternals had kidnapped humans from the period, and had taken on the appearance of humans. Although the yacht appeared to be a racing yacht, they were not on sea, but in space.

The Eternals were all competing in a race. However, one of the Eternals' ships was a pirate ship, captained by Captain Wrack, who was under the control of the Black Guardian . Wrack would stop at nothing to win the race for enlightenment, which would also allow the Black Guardian control of the enlightenment.
