The Cryons, the original inhabitants of the planet Telos, are elfin like creatures that can only survive in the cold. They were driven underground when the Cybermen arrived and built their underground tombs.

The sixth Doctor, along with Commander Lytton, who was double crossing the Cybermen, aid the Cryons to reclaim their planet.
