The Argolins are the peaceful inhabitants of Argolis, and controllers of the loss making intergalactic entertainment complex the Leisure Hive.
A twenty minute war with the Foamasi left the world of Argolis radioactive, and the Argolins sterile. The radiation also slowed down their metabolic rate to such an extent that the Argolins appear ageless until they suddenly age and die within a matter of hours.
One of the Argolins, Pandol, was the first of a new breed of Argolin bred from the Tachyon Regeneration Chamber using cells from other Argolins. He planned to clone himself and rekindle the war with the Foamasi. His plan was thwarted by the fourth Doctor who pushed him inside the Tachyon Regeneration Chamber; he emerged as a baby.
