STORY:

The TARDIS is attacked by the Rani using a Navigational Guidance System Distorter. So severe is the attack that the Doctor and Mel are knocked unconcious, causing the Doctor to start regenerating.

The TARDIS lands on the planet Lakertya which is under the control of the Rani. The Rani needs the Doctor's help to repair her laboratory equipment, and also to boost her understanding of time.

The Rani plans to destroy an asteroid of Strange Matter, but the only detonator is strange matter. Using an atrifical brain, and the knowledge of kidnapped scientists from Earth, she plans to come up with a substitue detonator. The Doctor manages to free the Lakertyans, and thwart the Rani's plans.

BLOOPERS:

Episode ?: In one scene, the Rani instructs Urak to get the unconscious Mel from the TARDIS, to which he replies that she has already left its confines. But wasn't the Rani was watching when Sarn was killed in the bubble-trap (after being scared by Mel) so she should have already known that Mel wasn't in the TARDIS any more.
