STORY:
Sarah Jane Smith, journalist and former companion of the Doctor, visits Hazelbury Abbas to start work on a new book.
While she is there she has the task of looking after the young ward of her Aunt Lavinia, Brendan. Also waiting for her
at her Aunt's house is a mysterious present from the Doctor, a robotic dog named K-9.
The village is said to house a number of practioners of Black Magic who worship the godddess Hecate. At first Sarah
dismisses the rumours. But when Brendan disappears on the night of the winter solstice, she begins to wonder if he has
been kidnapped by the Black Magic practioners.
Sarah, with the aid of K-9, begins to search all the local churhes and chapels. Eventually they find that Sarah's
suspicions were correct. K-9 manages to stun the worshippers while Sarah manages to rescue Brendan who was to have been
sacrificed, at the time of the Winter Solstice, to the goddess Hecate.
