NOTES:
This was a 30th anniversary special initially commisioned as part of the BBC's annual "Children in Need" telethon, later
expanded to include a second episode during the popular light entertainment show "Noel's House Part" the following day.
The two episodes, of 7mins40 and 5mins30 duration, were made in a revolutionary 3D format and featured a large number of
Doctor Who stars joining with some of the cast of the BBC soap opera "EastEnders". Also appearing were a number of Doctor
Who fans wearing various monster costumes. At the end of the first episode, viewers were asked to phone in to decide
which of the two "EastEnders" characters, Mandy or Big Ron, would save the Doctor at the start of the next episode. This
was accomplished just by a brief shot of the winning character. Mandy won the vote with 56% in favour.
