STORY:
At the end of
Resurrection of the Daleks one of the only people to survive the Dalek battle was Commander Gustave Lytton. Being stranded on Earth
he took to a life of crime, employing a few people to aid him in robbing a vault of a big diamond merchant.
The Doctor and Peri land in London, 1985, after receiving a distress call. It turns out that Lytton was the sender, and he appears to be
working for new masters - the Cybermen. The Doctor and Peri are ordered by Lytton to take him to the Cybermens' home planet Telos.
The Cybermen have no time travel facilities of their own, but they have captured a time vessel and are planning to use it to return to
1985 and destroy, or severely weaken, Earth by crashing Halley's Comet to ensure their infamous plans of 1986.
(See The Tenth Planet).
Aided by the Cryons the Doctor manages to destroy the Cyberbase, and Cybercontroller.
